1,000 Days Passed in the Russia-Ukraine War.

Yesterday, for the first time, Ukraine attacked Russian territory using US-supplied long-range missiles.

The Russian Defence Ministry announced that of the six missiles entering Russian airspace, five were shot down.

Following Ukraine’s use of American missiles, Russian President Vladimir Putin approved an updated nuclear doctrine.

The Kremlin stated that Russia reserves the right to use nuclear weapons if its sovereignty is threatened.

Ukraine attacked Russian territory with long-range missiles supplied by the United States.

The Russian Defence Ministry reported that air defence systems intercepted five out of the six missiles fired.

It was stated that the debris from one of Ukraine’s missiles fell in the Bryansk region, near a military facility, without causing any casualties.

Ukraine’s use of American long-range missiles marks the beginning of a new phase in the war.

Russian President Vladimir Putin approved the updated nuclear doctrine.

According to the decree signed by Putin, certain updates were made regarding the conditions for the use of nuclear weapons.

The new doctrine allows Russia to respond with nuclear weapons if a ballistic missile attack is carried out on Russian territory by a country supported by another nuclear-armed nation.

Attacks using drones or fighter jets are also included in this framework.

The decision, made after the US approved Ukraine’s use of long-range missiles on Russian territory, has caused concern in world capitals.

Following the decision, the Kremlin stated that Russia reserves the right to use nuclear weapons if its sovereignty is threatened.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, on the other hand, declared Ukraine’s determination to use long-range weapons.

The Pentagon, however, left questions unanswered.

Deputy Spokesperson for the US Department of Defence, Sabrina Singh, refrained from commenting on claims that Ukraine had attacked Russia’s Bryansk region with US-made Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS).

“I understand your frustration, but I have nothing to announce or confirm at this time” Singh said and added that if there is anything to share with the public on the matter, they would do so.
