The Personal Representative of the UN Secretary-General on Cyprus Maria Angela Holguin-Cuellar was in Ankara following her official visit to Greece.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Thursday met with Maria Angela Holguin Cuellar, the UN Secretary General’s personal representative to Cyprus.

No further information was shared about the closed-door meeting held in Türkiye’s capital Ankara.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry shared a photo of the meeting via their social media account.

Following her contacts in the TRNC and South Cyprus, Holguin visited Athens and met with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis.

Holguin is expected to move on to London once her contacts in Türkiye have been completed.
