Prime Minister Ünal Üstel addressed the public at the Adıyaman Courthouse, alongside grieving families, before the trial.
Speaking in front of the Adıyaman Courthouse, Prime Min ister Üstel said that country had been mourning the Champion Angels since their tragic deaths.
He stressed that life in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) had come to a halt and that the government, opposition, and all sectors were united in following this case as one heart.
The Premier pointed out that the consequences of the earthquake had turned into a disaster due to the structures built by humanity without adhering to rules and disregarding laws.
“We have full faith in the justice of the Republic of Türkiye. We will never forget this pain and will not let it be forgotten. I am here not only as a prime minister but as a father and a human being” Üstel said, expressing hope that the decision from this case will set an example for all similar incidents in Türkiye.
“We will follow this case until the end” Prime Minister Üstel stressed.
