Üstel holds inspections in earthquake-stricken areas

Following the completion of his contacts in the Turkish capital Ankara, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel held inspections in İskenderun where the container homes produced in the TRNC will be set up.

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel is being accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu, the Minister of Public Works and Transportation Erhan Arıklı as well members of the Cyprus Turkish Solidarity Platform.

Speaking at the site, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel gave messages of unity and solidarity.

Following his inspections, Üstel moved to Antakya where he held separate inspections.

He then moved to Adıyaman where he will follow up on the investigation concerning the collapsed İsias hotel.

Türkiye’s Disaster Management Authority (AFAD) has so far sent 127 container homes to the area.

The Cyprus Turkish Solidarity Platform has pledged to send 600 container homes while the remaining 400 are expected to be supplied by the state.
