Üstel: Isias is our common cause

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel said that we owe justice to the children who lost their lives in the earthquake in Türkiye.

The Premier made the statement while he met with the families of the Champion Angels who were there to watch the trial in Adıyaman.

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel who is in Adıyaman met with the families of the Champion Angels who want the defendants of Isias Hotel to be tried on charges of probable intent instead of conscious negligence.

Emphasizing that Isias is a common cause of the state and the people, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel stated that although nearly a year has passed since February 6, their pain has not subsided.

Noting that the pain of the families is visible on everyone’s faces, Üstel said “We owe a debt to our children, our sons and daughters. We owe it to them to take ownership of this case and make sure that the criminals who were instrumental in ending their lives get the punishment they deserve. That is why we are here”.

Expressing his belief in the Turkish justice system, Üstel said “I think that Türkiye’s justice system will produce historical and exemplary decisions that will set an example.”

He reiterated that they will continue to support and stand by the families under all circumstances.

“Your pain is our pain. Your struggle is our struggle. As the government and the opposition, we continue to stand by you,” said Üstel.
