Prime Minister Ünal Üstel received a delegation from the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce (KTTO), which was admitted as an observer to the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

Speaking during the visit, Üstel stressed the importance of increasing the cooperation between business people and business organizations from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) with other countries in the fields of economy and trade.

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel on Tuesday received a delegation from the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce.

According to a statement released from the Prime Ministry, in his speech during the visit, Prime Minister Üstel said that he was very pleased that the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce was accepted as an observer member to the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

Stressing the importance of increasing cooperation and developing relations between business people and business organizations from the TRNC with other countries in the fields of economy and trade, the premier wished the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce success in its future endeavours.

The President of the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce Turgay Deniz, for his part noted that consultations were held on steps to be taken to further develop the existing economic and commercial cooperation between the countries at the General Assembly meeting of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry held on Friday, April 7.

Deniz added that as the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce, they want the TRNC to develop economic and commercial relations with these countries.
