Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu emphasized that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) state is the most precious work of the Turkish Cypriot people and the symbol of sovereignty.
Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu issued a message to mark November 15th, Republic Day.
Ertuğruloğlu stated that they are celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), the symbol of sovereignty, which is the most precious work of the Turkish Cypriot people, which was established by paying great prices and which was attempted to be destroyed by all kinds of persecution, with greater enthusiasm and pride than ever before.
“We continue to resolutely pursue our vision of two states based on sovereign equality and to further strengthen our state in every field with the support of our Motherland Türkiye, which has always been our unconditional supporter,” said Ertuğruloğlu, emphasizing that they are taking firm steps towards the future with the support and strength they receive from Türkiye.
He concluded his message by saying “I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude and thanks to Dr. Fazıl Küçük, founding President Rauf Raif Denktaş and his fellow fighters, our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of their homeland, all veterans, our Motherland Türkiye, which has always given us strength with its support, the Turkish Armed Forces, who have assisted us to reach the position we are at today as a result of the struggles we have waged. Happy 40th anniversary of our state.”
