WHTC to open second headquarters in Brussels

The World Health Tourism Council which recently convened in the capital of Moldovia, in Chisinău,has announced its decision to decided to open its second headquarters in Brussels.

According to the statement released by the council, the center will be established in Brussels, which serves as the central location for many international organizations, including the European Union and NATO.

The World Health Tourism Council held its latest Board of Directors meeting in the capital of Moldova, Chișinău.

The meeting attended by representatives from Türkiye, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Germany, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Romania, and Italy was chaired by the Council President, Dr. Ahmet Savaşan.

In addition to discussions on preparations for the World Health Tourism Forum to be held in Northern Cyprus, a decision was also produced at the meeting to open the second headquarters office of the World Health Tourism Council in Brussels.

Other topics discussed included the roadmap for enhancing international cooperation, increasing the number of member countries, preparations for the 2024 World Health Tourism Forum to be held in the TRNC with the participation of 56 countries, international organizations to be supported and participated in 2023-24, the schedule of scientific web conferences, statute changes, periodic scientific publications, and steps to strengthen the council’s social networks and digital infrastructure.
