Every year on September the 21st World Alzheimer’s Day is marked around the world in order to raise awareness about the disease.
This year in the capital Lefkoşa, an event was held at the Merkez Lefkoşa complex to mark the day under the slogan “We are playing with clay.”
An event was realised on Thursday at the Merkez Lefkoşa complex with the support of the Alzheimer’s Association, the Girne Özgürada Lions Club, the Lefkoşa Turkish Municipality and ceramic artist Leman Cankat under the slogan “We are playing with clay.”
Participants created objects from clay as part of a project to raise awareness on the issue.
Speaking at the event, Lefkoşa Mayor Mehmet Harmancı said that they are happy to support the event that will raise awareness regarding the Alzheimers disease.
