President Ersin Tatar said that societies are one with their differences.

Tatar also emphasized the importance of raising awareness about individuals with special needs.

President Ersin Tatar issued a message to mark the 21st of March World Down Syndrome Awareness Day.

Emphasizing the importance of raising awareness about individuals with special needs, President Tatar conveyed his respect and love to all people with down syndrome and their precious families on World Down Syndrome Day, which was declared to raise awareness about individuals with special needs.

In his message, Tatar said, “Through awareness we beautify and enrich our world. With the awareness of the difficulties experienced by our brothers and sisters with Down syndrome and special needs, steps are taken as a state, every year.

“We are aware of the importance of early and continuous education, and we strive to improve the quality of life of these individuals. We will continue to do our best to remove obstacles so that individuals with Down syndrome can take their place in society,” said Tatar.

Meanwhile Parliamentary Speaker Zorlu Töre also issued a message to mark the 21st of March World Down Syndrome Awareness Day.

In his message Töre said that it should be known by everyone that Down syndrome is not a disease but only a difference.

“We should do our part to announce to everyone that being different is normal and to increase this awareness,” said Töre in his message.

He also said that it was everyone’s duty to ease the life of individuals with Down Syndrome.
