Bertan Zaroğlu, Deputy Chairman and Spokesperson for the Rebirth Party (YDP) has said that the informal tripartite meeting in New York had opened the door to potential negotiations.
Zaroğlu who commented on the recent informal dinner said that the key takeaway from New York is the discussions between the two leaders on new crossing points.
He also said that the New York visit was more than just a simple dinner.
“This was an opportunity to assess the groundwork for starting negotiations, and it seems that a door has been opened. It appears that future discussions will proceed in a 4+1 format, including the participation of the motherlands, and further details will be discussed in the coming stages,” he remarked.
Zaroğlu pointed out that, while the outcome may not be entirely sufficient, the discussions on opening new crossing points represent a concrete step forward.
He underlined the importance of this development, indicating that even a small step is significant.
He added that the Rebirth Party plans to conduct a more detailed analysis of the outcomes after receiving further information from President Ersin Tatar.
