Türkiye’s Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz paid tribute to the late Founding President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Rauf Raif Denktaş, on the 13th anniversary of his passing.
In a heartfelt message shared on social media, Yılmaz expressed his deep respect and admiration for Denktaş’s legacy.
“With great respect and reverence, I remember Rauf Denktaş, who dedicated his life to the Turkish Cypriot people’s struggle for rights, freedom, and independence, on the 13th anniversary of his passing,” the Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz stated.
He emphasized that under Denktaş’s leadership, the Turkish Cypriot people’s fight for equality and freedom culminated in the establishment of the TRNC.
Yılmaz highlighted that the legacy left by Denktaş continues to inspire the Turkish Cypriot people’s honourable struggle for existence and their efforts to build a stronger future.
