The delegation from the Higher Education Council of Türkiye (YÖK) issued a statement regarding their visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

The statement said that during the meetings held with the YÖK delegation, Prime Ministry officials, newly appointed YÖDAK President Aykut Hocanın, YÖDAK Executive Board members and rectors of TRNC universities, emphasis was laid on everyone benefitting from the experience and knowledge of YÖK in order to increase the quality of education in the TRNC.

According to the statement, the Council of Higher Education will provide the necessary support to improve the quality of higher education that will serve the international recognition of the TRNC and TRNC universities.

For this purpose, the Council of Higher Education will provide technical support to YÖDAK in order for it to update all necessary infrastructures, establishing quality control systems, improving the level of higher education systems and will share its knowledge and experience with the TRNC.
