Winners of the “Young Energy Competition” organized in cooperation with the Youth Department of the Deputy Prime Ministry, Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment and the Development and Economic Cooperation Office of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Lefkoşa (KEİ), received their awards on Thursday.

The winners of the video content competition organized under the broadcast sponsorship of Bayrak Radio Television Corporation (BRTK) were awarded with cash prizes at a ceremony at the Deputy Prime Ministry, Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment.

Speaking during the ceremony the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu congratulated those who entered the competition and their families for raising such talented people and noted that young people will make the best use of these opportunities if given the chance, regardless of their branch.

He also thanked ministry officials, KEİ, BRTK and the jury members for organizing the competition and hoped that the competition would continue in the future.

He also announced that they will provide opportunities to young people with projects in different branches under the roof of the Youth Department.

Director of the Youth Department Hakan Özsaygın stated that the aim of the Young Energy Competition is for young people to use new media tools correctly and efficiently, to share their feelings, thoughts and talents, to take responsibility for social issues, to develop creative thinking skills and to be more visible in the public sphere.

Özsaygın stated that as the Youth Office, they set out and designed the project with an inclusive approach open to all young people of the country and congratulated all who participated in the project.

BRTK Director Meryem Özkurt, who undertook the broadcast sponsorship of the competition, expressed her satisfaction at taking part in such an organization and hoped that the competition would continue with more participants in the future.

Özkurt noted that as the BRTK, they have always supported such projects and will continue to do so.

KEİ Coordinator Ömer Cihan, who sponsored the prize money in the competition, thanked everyone who contributed.

Addressing the youth and their families, Cihan said that they should be proud of themselves and added that the youth are the energy of society and should be further encouraged through assistance.
