The Girne International Olive Festival, which is the last leg of the 40-day festival organized within the scope of the Girne Arkın Group Fest 23, will be realized at the Zeytinlik Village Square from October 4-8.

The festival, which will begin with an opening ceremony at 7 pm tonight will host a number of cultural, artistic and sportive events.

The festivities will include presentations and seminars on olives and olive cultivation, literary talks, concerts and local and modern dance performances.

During the festival, there will be exhibitions and sales of locally produced food and beverages, olives and olive products, handicrafts, and cultural and artistic products.

Within the framework of the festival, the International Olive Cartoon Competition Golden Olive Humour Service Award Ceremony will also be held.

The event will come to a close with a concert by Edip Akbayram at the Girne Amphitheater next Tuesday, October 10 at 9 pm.
